Up-and-coming vocalist Charlotte Leigh (June 12, 1997 in Little Rock, Ark.) is dedicated to composing and performing the hottest pop country music with attitude and a southern, soulful style. This gift to the music world began performing in local talent shows at the age of 11 and has proven she has mega-star potential. She released her debut single and video “Not Another Love Song” in the fall of 2014. Her first EP, “Take a Chance,” has a special, deeply personal meaning to her. “It can be hard to put yourself out there,” she says, “but to get to where I am I definitely just had to take a chance.” In sixth grade, Charlotte performed a duet with country sensation Kelly Pickler. Since then, Charlotte has opened for and played with many artists including Dylan Scott, Casey Donahew Band, Jamey Johnson, Eli Young Band, LANCo, Green River Ordinance and many others. Her deep sultry voice, fresh alluring look, and phenomenal upbeat performances earned her an invitation to play at Riverfest 2015, opening for Sam Hunt and Jake Owen. She co-wrote her smash single “Little Rock” with Christian “Davis” Stalnecker. “It is my anthem,” she says, “It’s just about how my life has been and my family and my friends.” Her musical style is outlined in the song’s chorus: “In Little Rock, We mix a little Country with a little Pop.” The song she dedicated to her home town will forever remain close to heart. Now, mid 2017, Charlotte just finished her first debut country album which was produced by Brandon Bell and recorded at Southern Ground Studios in Nashville, TN. She plans on releasing her album by the end of the year. “I’m so excited to see where these songs take me,” Charlotte says. “I really put my heart and soul into writing this record and couldn’t be more excited now that it is finally finished.” I really enjoyed working with Brandon Bell and the incredible musicians at Southern Ground Studio.
Who Charlotte is…
Charlotte is a hip young artist on her way to the top; but, at the core she is an always positive, fun-loving family girl who’s proud of her faith in God and will never forget her roots. She first began singing in church, and she thanks her parents for pushing her to perform in those early talent shows. As a child, Charlotte grew up attending Arkansas Razorback football games. After a few years attending the University, Charlotte now resides in Nashville, TN where she continues to pursue her love of music as a career. Charlotte loved the Little Rock city life, but some of her fondest memories are of spending time with her family on her grandparent’s Texas ranch and boating on Lake Ouachita. Her music is a direct reflection of who Charlotte is as a person; in her own words, she’s “a city girl who loves to spend time on the ranch and the water.” Charlotte is influenced by many people in the music industry such as Coldplay, Zac Brown Band, Miranda Lambert, and Kenny Chesney, but her mom and dad are her true heroes.
